  • The Contractor Safety Management Process provides the framework for identifying, screening, selecting, onboarding, and managing contractors as they perform services for Gulf of Mexico. 
  • Only contractors who have been awarded work by OXY go through the CSM process to certify their qualification. Once awarded work, contractors must meet OXY's agreement requirements, insurance requirements, and environmental health & safety requirements.

  • Approved contractors and their subcontractors are required to subscribe to ISNetworld.  OXY contractors with a passing grade of “A” – “C” are approved for use.  

  • A contractor working for Occidental (Legacy Anadarko) must have a:

    • Master Service Contract (MSC) or PO Terms and Conditions Document for specified services provided.

    • Minimally a Bridging Agreementand possibly a Bridging Document depending on risk.

    • Contract Terms Agreement (CT) or Blanket Work Order (BWO) / Pricing Agreements (PA) with the specific scope of work identified.

OXY connected contractors must meet OXY’s minimum training requirements for offshore travel.

  • Water Survival with Huet
  • Offshore Safety Awareness/Orientation (Industry endorsed/accredited course such as Safe Gulf or Rig Pass)
  • Job Specific Skills/Knowledge Verification
  • Moxie Media X904 Rider (Online Training)
  • Safe Swing Rope (Online Training)
  • OXY GOM – HSE Orientation (Online Training either English or Spanish
